Understand the financial impact. Know how to respond within your role.

Professional education helps trusted professionals connect the human realities of substance use disorder and opioid-related loss with financial situations they may already be seeing.

Recognize. Ask. Protect. Refer.

You do not need to diagnose addiction to understand its financial impact. The education helps professionals notice meaningful changes, ask thoughtful questions, protect household and professional boundaries, and connect people with qualified resources when another professional should be involved.

Recognize

Notice meaningful changes in financial circumstances without assuming the cause.

Ask

Use respectful, nonjudgmental questions to understand what has changed.

Protect

Focus on household stability, professional responsibilities and appropriate financial boundaries.

Refer

Know when treatment, legal, tax, recovery, elder-care or other qualified resources should be involved.

Professional scope matters. Opioid Financial Awareness does not train professionals to diagnose or treat substance use disorder. The education focuses on financial consequences, appropriate conversations, professional boundaries and informed referral.

Practical education for financial situations professionals may already be seeing.

The core curriculum can be adjusted for different professional audiences while remaining focused on financial awareness, communication and appropriate professional response.
